The development of the solution follows EU regulation on political advertising, while being adapted to national adjustments and practices in each individual market.
A fundamental approach at Kobler is that publisher responsibility is shared across the value chain, and that publishers do not need to establish or maintain their own technical or organisational solutions for documenting Kobler political advertising. All relevant information related to political campaigns is stored in the Kobler platform for a minimum of seven years and is available to the publisher when needed.
Labelling of political ads is handled automatically within the Kobler platform and follows applicable national standards in each market. This ensures consistent and correct labelling across publishers, without the need for manual processes or local adaptations by individual publishers.
Existing partner agreements between publishers and Kobler are sufficient for political advertising, as campaigns do not use personal data, cookies, or tracking. Targeting is based exclusively on content data and context, thus eliminating the need for consent.
The solution is designed to provide publishers with predictability, control, and traceability, and to reduce the need for their own documentation and reporting routines related to political advertising.
