Publishers always have the final say when it comes to political advertising. Kobler’s role is to facilitate a structure that reduces the need for publishers to stop or interrupt campaigns during their execution.
For advertisers, political advertising through Kobler largely follows the same process as before. Campaigns can be set up, adjusted, and modified during the campaign period, based on which issues and messages are most important to communicate.
What is new for political advertising is the requirement to complete a transparency statement.

This is used to clearly label ads as political and to make information about the campaigns available. Information about the advertiser and campaign budget is stored and made publicly available for a minimum of seven years, in line with applicable regulation.
This structure provides predictable frameworks for political campaigns on editorial surfaces, while safeguarding publishers’ editorial responsibility and control.
